• There are quite a few Christmas items in the W Shop. There is also a new Menorah.
• The e-store has a set of virtual ornaments and a tree, but we’re not going to even try for them because I don’t like to spend real money on fake things.
• Santakinz is in the clubhouse and Webkinz are lining up to ask for a gift. They won’t actually get the gift til they sign in on Christmas day, though, which is a little worrying. If you’ve had Webkinz during past Christmas seasons, you know that all those kids with new Webkinz can take down the servers. I hope they’re ready for the deluge!
• We went out to our gardens and saw snow on the ground! It is a little funny to see a foot of snow around thriving crops. Maybe we’ll add a new outdoor room with nothing in it for the winter.
• Ms. Birdy is hanging around in the Santakinz room, too. It isn’t working yet, but there will be a 12 days of Christmas activity so we can collect Christmas treats and get something for gathering them all. Maybe a wreath?

Are you excited about all the Christmas events in Webkinz world?

This year, I was lucky enough to snag four Snowman Webkinz from my local Book Cellar store for a total of $20! That is a really good deal. Holiday Webkinz are typically closer to $12-$14. I was also lucky to even find holiday Webkinz, since I have yet to see any of the Halloween special plushies locally at all. I had to hop online to find them.

This year, you should be able to find the following Christmas Webkinz:

• Peppermint Puppy – Comes with virtual candy cane seeds. I like how the puppy looks and feels, but wasn’t terribly excited about the seeds. They don’t seem quite as special as some of the other exclusive pet items are.
• Reindeer – The virutal Far North sleigh that comes with the reindeer is pretty cute and is really fun for kids to interact with, since they can have their virtual reindeer hop in and go for a ride.
• Snowman – I think the snowman is cute, but some of the kids think he looks dorky. I guess it is a personal preference thing. Everyone thinks the virtual frosty fireplace he comes with is really nice.
• Holiday Carrier – The carrier is very festive looking and makes it easy to tote a favorite Webkinz around. It also gives you an online holiday wardrobe for your pet, but didn’t go into details. I didn’t buy the holiday version of the carrier, so I’m not sure what the virtual clothing looks like.
• Ornaments – The ornaments aren’t quite my personal tree style, but they look okay lined up on a child’s bookshelf. The big reason to buy ornaments is the ability to unlock a Christmas tree in the virtual Webkinz world.

There may also be a few more holiday Webkinz coming out in December. Webkinz Newz has just announced a moose is coming out in December, but doesn’t disclose the virtual item yet, so I’m not sure if it is an official holiday pet. There are also several virtual only pets coming out as e-store only items.
