The Scottish Games at Fair Hill Fairgrounds are not the least bit frugal. Admission is $15 for anyone 12 and over and parking is $2. But if you are looking for some good fun, great food, amazing feats of strength and some really good Welsh Cookies, (Next time, I am so hitting the inFamous Welsh Cookie Co. booth first so I can get my blueberry cookie fix!) then it is worth the once a year expense. This year was the 50th anniversary of the event and it is very well attended. A few highlights from the 2010 Scottish Games:

A Contestant Pitches a 17 Pound Stone. One Stone Went 60 Feet!

Brother Performed a Free Live Concert.

A Piper Practices Before Competing

We wrapped our day up by buying a kid size didgeridoo from Brother and headed home feeling like our $62 admission was well spent.
