Wordless Wednesday – If a Deal Doesn’t Fit, Skip It

I learn a lot from chickens. They’re a little silly and impulsive. Watching them get themselves into and out of scrapes gets me thinking about how things they do apply to my life. At this rate, The Chicken Philosophy may be the next book I write. Anyway, Fred the Salmon Favorelle cockerel (Unfortunately! My mom was hoping for two hens when she got the chicks.) took a close look at this shoe and walked away. I started thinking about deals I was planning to shop for this week being sort of like my shoe and now I’m not bothering to shop for them. They aren’t really the right fit for the family right now and aren’t necessities I can give to the mission, so, even though they’re free except for sales tax, I’m emulating Fred and just walking away.
Now that I’ve got you wondering if you’ve stumbled into Philosophy 101 instead of Wordless Wednesday and you are feeling a little worried that I’m basing my plans for the week on a chick’s adventures, I’d better get on with the photo!

Oh how my kids would love to have a pet chicken!
you know mine love your pics so keep em coming. Hmm wonder if it smelled the shoe and decided it wasn’t something to go near. lol Happy WW!
I wasn’t planning on the Favorelles, but they sure are adorable. They are cuddly, too. The girl, Ginger, is especially into getting a little snuggle time in each day. Which brings me to what may be an obvious tip, but I didn’t think of it til after we wanted to burn a few pairs of jeans… Put a towel in your child’s lap before you hand over the chick.
